As you may be aware, the Florida State University Presidential Search Committee has been diligently recruiting and reviewing many exceptional prospects for President. An important part of the search process includes the input of our faculty, staff, students, and community members. The committee will provide ample opportunities, both in-person and virtual, for our campus community to meet the candidates. Following first-round interviews with the FSU Presidential Search Advisory Committee on May 14 – 15, the committee anticipates hosting a series of open candidate forums for faculty, staff, and students during the week of May 17. Additional information about these forums will be communicated in the coming weeks.
The forums will be hosted at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. We will have limited capacity to accommodate for socially distant seating. In-person attendees are strongly encouraged to reserve a ticket online to ensure seating is available. Individuals who arrive without a ticket will be admitted until capacity has been reached. In-person attendees will have the opportunity to ask candidates their questions at the event. For those that choose to participate online, individuals may direct questions to email@example.com. Please continue to check for future updates, which will outline the forum schedules and instructions for reserving the tickets online.

These forums also will be livestreamed on the Presidential Search website and other online platforms. Virtual attendees will have an opportunity to ask pre-submitted questions. Please send your candidate questions to firstname.lastname@example.org. Continue to check your email and presidentialsearch.fsu.edu for more information on where to access the livestream.
Each candidate’s biography and curriculum vitae will be posted to the Presidential Search website. Those who cannot attend in person or virtually will be able to view the recorded forums on presidentialsearch.fsu.edu after each forum. To further accommodate all stakeholders, we will also hold at least one forum outside of typical business hours for individuals unable to participate during the workday.
Following each forum, a link to an electronic survey will be distributed for each candidate. We strongly encourage participants to fill out these surveys to provide helpful feedback. We request all feedback from on campus be submitted to the search firm by noon on Sunday, May 23, 2021.
